Pancha Mahabhutas

Human existence is made up of the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether) not only on the material level, but also on the emotional and mental.People think, feel, move lightly like air, intensely like fire, flow like water, are stable and earthy or hover like ether.A balanced person "contains" all five elements almost equally. This book explores these five elements from a yogic perspective giving us practices and tools to enhance, strengthen or balance these five elements within us. Yogachariya Jnandev outlines asanas, pranayamas, hasta mudras and meditation techniques for each element. The book is a nice addition to any yoga seekers collection or teachers who may want to work more specifically with the pancha mahabhutas and understand them in the yogic context. Read more
