This legume dates back about ten thousand years and is a staple of Indian, Burmese, and middle-eastern cuisine. The garbanzo bean is extremely versatile as it is used in soups, salads, main dishes, hummus, and aquafaba for vegan meringues. It can be used as a vegetable, sprout, microgreen, and as a nitrogen-fixing cover crop too. This crop likes cooler weather and can be sown in early spring and then thinned to about 6 to 12 inches apart as they will spread and support each other. No staking is required. ~75 seeds/oz.
