Liberty Lost™

Cling to your freedom and defend it fiercely in this bold “Liberty Lost” T-shirt by HOLD FAST® in Navy. Founding Father John Adams, America’s first vice president and second president, was also a leader of the American Revolution that achieved independence from Great Britain. His passion for the freedom fought and won by himself and his peers was incredible.

On July 7, 1775—less than a year before the signing of the Declaration of Independence, John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail, “Cities may be rebuilt, and a People reduced to Poverty may acquire fresh Property: But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty once lost is lost forever. When the People once surrender their share in the Legislature, and their Right of defending the Limitations upon the Government, and of resisting every Encroachment upon them, they can never regain it.” Imagine for a moment our lives without the freedom Adams and his compatriots fought so hard to attain, and worked so hard to protect.

Don’t take the liberty we enjoy as Americans for granted. Pray for our nation. Count your blessings as an American citizen. Stay informed about the issues we face in our nation, and around the world. May God bless America, and may we continue to enjoy the liberty our Founding Fathers fought to achieve.
