Designed for dynamic whole ropes from 8.6 to 10.2 mm in diameter with which it guarantees exceptional fluidity, Matik is characterized by a low stopping force and therefore by a great dynamism of insurance. The unique skate braking system gradually intervenes on the rope, gently braking it. Another feature of the Matik is the unprecedented descent control, made extremely safe by the emergency panic system that activates in case of accidental or uncontrolled operation of the release lever. The mechanism intervenes when the lever is opened too much or too fast, immediately stopping the rope from slipping. The system really makes all the difference in the case of descents in the void or slopes without intermediate referrals, especially with thin ropes. The absence of movable flanges prevents the use of the Matik open: if the cam is not in place, its rear end closes the attachment hole and does not allow the carabiner to be inserted. By working with the rope in axis, without the need to twist it on the cheek, the Matik can reduce the wear of the sock, the dynamism of the fall stop also avoids major stress, all this helps to prolong the life of the rope. NOTE: As an assisted braking device, the Matik always requires careful and responsible use by the insurer, who must act constantly with both hands without ever leaving the rope branch downstream.
